Lvl | Code | Display | Definition |
0 | type | Type | General types of reference range. |
1 | normal | Normal Range | Values expected for a normal member of the relevant control population being measured. Typically each results producer such as a laboratory has specific normal ranges and they are usually defined as within two standard deviations from the mean and account for 95.45% of this population. |
1 | recommended | Recommended Range | The range that is recommended by a relevant professional body. |
1 | treatment | Treatment Range | The range at which treatment would/should be considered. |
1 | therapeutic | Therapeutic Desired Level | The optimal range for best therapeutic outcomes. |
2 | pre | Pre Therapeutic Desired Level | The optimal range for best therapeutic outcomes for a specimen taken immediately before administration. |
2 | post | Post Therapeutic Desired Level | The optimal range for best therapeutic outcomes for a specimen taken immediately after administration. |
0 | endocrine | Endocrine | Endocrine related states that change the expected value. |
1 | pre-puberty | Pre-Puberty | An expected range in an individual prior to puberty. |
1 | follicular | Follicular Stage | An expected range in an individual during the follicular stage of the cycle. |
1 | midcycle | MidCycle | An expected range in an individual during the midcycle stage of the cycle. |
1 | luteal | Luteal | An expected range in an individual during the luteal stage of the cycle. |
1 | postmenopausal | Post-Menopause | An expected range in an individual post-menopause. |
Explanation of the columns that may appear on this page:
Level | A few code lists that FHIR defines are hierarchical - each code is assigned a level. In this scheme, some codes are under other codes, and imply that the code they are under also applies |
Source | The source of the definition of the code (when the value set draws in codes defined elsewhere) |
Code | The code (used as the code in the resource instance) |
Display | The display (used in the display element of a Coding). If there is no display, implementers should not simply display the code, but map the concept into their application |
Definition | An explanation of the meaning of the concept |
Comments | Additional notes about how to use the code |
